Link ICT have supported The Bemrose School for over 7 years. During this time the school has expanded considerably, introducing a primary phase with an additional 300+ children and building 21 modern-award winning classrooms.
Link ICT have played an integral part in supporting the school’s growth. In addition to providing day-to-day IT support to staff and students, our team of technicians have worked closely with the school on a number of the new classroom building projects in order to ensure an effective IT infrastructure is specified and installed.
Our dedicated Network Manager has provided project and budget management advice on the IT requirements of the new classroom builds, to ensure the ICT budget is well managed, whilst ensuring that the school has access to the latest technology in order to enhance teaching and learning opportunities.
Key to future proofing the IT infrastructure as the school continues to expands over the coming years has been using our expertise to deliver clever IT infrastructure design. We have worked hard to ensure that the infrastructure design in the new buildings and classrooms will meet the needs of the school now and in the future by ensuring network points are appropriately located
The Bemrose School is also in the process of extending and refurbishing their heritage secondary school building. Link ICT have been advising on VLAN design and ensuring implementation can be phased alongside the new IT network as work progresses to install this throughout the school. This has included wireless design and implementation along with the provision of secure guest access.
In 2018, we worked with the school to procure, install and configure a Sedao Digital Signage Solution. Thanks to our supplier partnerships we were able to offer competitive education pricing for three Sedao screens and players. The Sedao screens are used to promote and advertise school events, and are an eye-catching way to display posters. The ability to control the casting of the media remotely has allowed for flexibility and a quick response time to updating what is shown on screen.
