Over the summer break in 2022, Springfield Junior School decided to say goodbye to their outdated projectors and whiteboards and say hello to some brand new technology to provide pupils with a more interactive learning experience, and Link ICT was delighted to procure and install thirteen new 65” Clevertouch Technologies IMPACT interactive boards!
We have been providing IT support to Springfield Junior School since 2019, and with the other schools within their MAT benefiting from using Clevertouch Technologies interactive screens, it was decided they would be a perfect, next-generation solution for the classroom at Springfield Junior School too.
Due to our long-standing buying partnership with Clevertouch Technologies, we are able to procure ICT equipment at the best possible price for all our customers. As part of the service, we were able to arrange free onsite product demonstrations by Clevertouch Technologies, and following the installation, we also arranged training as part of the after-sales service to ensure all users were confident using all aspects of the Clevertouch board. The training also included support on how to navigate around the board and the installation of other apps which the school may find useful from the Cleverstore.
One app that is demonstrated during the training is the free, lesson-building software called Lynx Whiteboard, which is included in the costs of Clevertouch screens. Lynx Whiteboard has many different styles of pen tools and artistic features, within its easy-to-access toolkit. It is used within classrooms as an enhanced whiteboard, to supplement learning and make lessons more engaging. Also, the app has a dual mode for two pens to be used simultaneously for that interactive collaborative learning. Following the training, Lynx Whiteboard was deployed on all thirteen Clevertouch boards by the Link ICT technician dedicated to supporting the school.
The Clevertouch Technology Product Specialist who provided the training also provided helpful PowerPoints and training videos which have been shared with the school to be uploaded to their SharePoint for all staff to access whenever they like. This is especially useful for anyone who was not able to attend the training, so they have an instruction manual too. Six months later, the school was also provided with some refresher training to further enhance their Clevertouch interactive board skills.
All the staff and pupils at Springfield Junior School have seen how the Clevertouch boards are a whole world away from their previous projectors and whiteboard and as a result of our committed customer service and training are now skilled Clevertouch board users and benefiting from a more engaging technology-based learning experience.
