End of life is the term that Microsoft uses to identify the period when it will no longer support an operating system or application. This means that from 14 January 2020, if you are still operating on Windows 7, or using Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2 and Small Business Server 2011, Microsoft will no longer offer product support or apply updates that fix faults.
